Two Charged Over Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Incident
Two individuals are now facing charges in connection with a suitcase robbery where a believed to be pepper spray caused injuries at the major London air hub.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two counts of robbery and two counts of administering a noxious substance, as confirmed by court officials.
These accusations come after an investigation into an assault at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their suitcases taken after getting out of a car park lift, police said.
A young child was among those injured in the event. Five people required hospital care and were eventually allowed to go home.
The incident – described by police as was a standalone event and deemed non-terroristic – caused disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a limited duration.
